Caribbean Style & Culture Model of the Month “September 2017”
FARIEL ALI-KHAN
Fariel Ali-Khan is a 24-year-old 5′ 7″ model from Chaguanas, Trinidad and has been modeling for four years. Fariel realized her passion for modeling while attending the University of the West Indies. It was there that she participated in her first fashion show in 2012. After that, the young woman developed what she describes as a “hunger for the craft” the moment she came off the runway.
Following that event, Fariel was introduced to several local designers through networking opportunities and the rest is history. Now, Fariel’s face is one that is well known in the print and runway scenes in Trinidad and has also enjoyed features in many prominent fashion blogs, websites and campaigns.
Asked what she values most, Fariel says “…staying true to myself; I want to be able to accomplish my dreams and be able to show young individuals when I do so that it is very possible to achieve your goals and be a supermodel without getting caught up and losing yourself on the rise. I have a very long way to go based on the goals that I’ve set for myself but I’m happy with the body of work that I’ve produced thus far and the direction that I’m heading.
